A campaign for independence
Make this YOUR personal campaign to restore Scotland’s independence
This doesn’t work with only a few people signing the petition so spread the word as far as you can.
In the 2021 Holyrood election, over 2,600,000 votes were given to pro-independence parties. These voters are the people that should sign the petition.
Spread the word by word of mouth and through your social media accounts. We’ll keep you up to date with progress by email. Use these graphics in your social media posts.
Remember: the petition puts pressure on the pro-independence parties to include a real plan to restore Scotland’s independence in their manifestos.
Write to your chosen political party, MSP or candidate
After you have signed the petition, write to your MSP or candidate for the 2026 election. Tell them you’ve signed and that you want – demand – that they include what you want into their manifesto. Use the email text below or use your own words. And while you’re at it, write to the media as well. Let’s spread the word.
Subject: Time to Act – I’ve Signed the M4I Manifesto
Dear [Party Name],
I’m writing to inform you that I have signed the Manifesto for Independence at m4i.scot.
I’m done waiting. Scotland needs decisive action, not more delays and empty promises.
The Scottish people are sovereign – we do not need to ask Westminster for permission to determine our own future. This is a fundamental principle that must guide our path forward.
I’m demanding that you adopt the M4I manifesto as part of your platform for the 2026 Scottish parliamentary election. Our independence cannot be postponed indefinitely while Westminster attempts to dictate our future. The sovereignty of the Scottish people is not theirs to grant or withhold.
The people are ready. We know our rights. The question is: are you prepared to stand with us and act on the sovereignty we already possess?
If you want my vote in 2026, you’ll need to show me you’re serious about delivering independence – not just talking about it. Show me you understand that we are not supplicants seeking permission, but a sovereign people asserting our right to self-determination.
The time for action is now.

It’s time to apply pressure
The Manifesto for Independence enables the pro-independence parties to support the plan.
Join the movement to force the pro-independence parties to include the Manifesto for Independence (MFI) in their own manifestos for the 2026 election.
It’s up to you. Don’t just accept what they want to give you. Tell them what YOU want. Tell them you want to see the Manifesto for Independence in their manifestos, or maybe you just won’t vote for them
